Refund Policies

More Joy, Less Stress Workshop

If you paid with cash or check, a full refund is available until Thursday, December 5. If you paid by PayPal, you will receive a $35 refund if you cancel by December 5. After December 5, no refunds are available.

 
Amherst Writers & Artists Workshops

For "Writing from the Heart" and "Exploring Creative Nonfiction," the refund policy is as follows:

 

  • Before the first workshop meeting: Full refund, minus an $8 processing fee if you have paid online.

  • After the first meeting: Your payment minus the cost of one drop-in session ($30 for "Writing from the Heart" and $37 for "Exploring Creative Nonfiction").

There will be no refunds issued after the first meeting. However, under extenuating circumstances–such as severe illness or family emergency–it may be possible to transfer your balance to the next series (does not apply to the June series). At leader's discretion.

 
Journal to the Self® Workshops

Because Journal to the Self® workshops require advance ordering of materials, there will be no refunds once the series has begun. However, you may be able to "make up" at a future JTTS series if you miss a session. If you cancel before the series begins, the same policy as above applies.

 
Other Workshops & Retreats

For workshops conducted through other organizations, such as Loudoun County Public Schools, different policies will apply. Retreat refund policies will vary based on venue.
